Product Description

The Wiseco K554M79 is a Pro Tru Sport Compact forged piston kit for the 1990-1993 Mazda Miata B6 1.6L DOHC engine, bored to 79mm. Designed specifically for turbocharged, supercharged, and nitrous applications, the -13cc dish crown lowers compression ratio to 8.5:1 to handle boosted cylinder pressures safely. Each piston is forged from a dedicated aluminum forging produced in-house at Wiseco's Ohio facility, then CNC-machined to final shape -- yielding a stronger, lighter piston than OEM or generic aftermarket alternatives with tighter dimensional tolerances. ArmorGlide skirt coating is applied standard to reduce friction and free horsepower, while valve pockets are precisely machined for clearance with the B6's 16-valve DOHC head.

The kit includes four pistons, pre-gapped plasma moly ring sets (1/16 in. / 1/16 in. / 3/16 in.), wrist pins, and clips -- everything needed for a complete engine build. Block must be bored to 79mm. Replacement rings: Wiseco 7900XX. Replacement pin: Wiseco S623. Not for sale in California.
