Product Description

The Volant 18840 is a closed box cold air intake system for the 2011-2020 Toyota 4Runner and 2011-2017 Toyota FJ Cruiser, both with the 4.0L V6. It replaces the factory rubber intake tubing and resonator box with a molded polyethylene tube and an enlarged Cool Air box that draws in a higher volume of cooler ambient air from the fender area. A high-velocity venturi filter adapter provides a smooth, optimized transition through the MAF sensor to improve airflow consistency and reduce restriction over the OEM setup.

The system is available with two filter options: an Oiled cotton gauze filter (p/n 5144) requiring service every 35,000-50,000 miles, or a DryTech Oil-Free filter for zero-maintenance operation. This kit is not CARB exempt and is not legal for sale or use in California.
