The Vibrant Performance 12930 is a horizontal flow air-to-air intercooler core built for custom forced induction applications where a compact but capable core is required. Its bar and plate construction - with a louvered fin design on the ambient air path and an offset fin design on the charge air path - delivers significantly cooler, denser intake air than tube-and-fin alternatives, reducing detonation risk and maximizing turbo or supercharger efficiency under boost.
