Product Description

The Vibrant 27131 is a 4-ply aramid reinforced silicone straight sleeve coupler with a 2.75 in. inside diameter and a 12 in. length. The extended 12 in. length provides generous overlap on each side of the joint - delivering secure clamping surface for T-bolt or worm gear clamps while also accommodating minor angular misalignment between joined tubing sections, making it well suited for connections at turbo compressor outlets, intercooler end tanks, and charge pipe joints where precise alignment is difficult to achieve. The hand-wrapped aramid reinforcement between each ply of silicone resists swelling and bursting under the sustained boost and heat conditions common in forced induction applications.

All Vibrant Performance aramid reinforced silicone couplers meet or exceed SAE J20 specifications and are UV and ozone resistant for long-term durability in underhood environments. Maximum operating pressure is 50 psi across the 2.75 in. I.D. at this wall thickness. Not suitable for oil or fuel service - for air, boost, water, and coolant applications only. Sold individually.
