Fitment Notes

• For 12V electrical systems only - not compatible with 6V or 24V applications
• Thermoswitch (temperature sensor) is NOT included - use in conjunction with SPAL PN# 185FH (185°F) or PN# 195FH (195°F) when adding thermoswitch capability or when running dual fans with a single switching device
• Includes the FR-PT jumper harness with AMP/Tyco interface connector (180907) - mates directly with the 180908 connector found on most SPAL electric fans
• Can also be used to control lights, cool-suit pumps, water pumps, and other 12V electric accessories up to 40 amps
• Compatible with SPAL and all other brands of 12V brushed electric fans

Product Description

The SPAL FRH is a universal 40-amp electric fan relay wiring harness kit designed to provide a clean, safe, and properly fused electrical circuit for any 12V electric fan installation. Rather than running fan power directly through a dash-mounted switch or tapping into undersized OEM wiring, the FRH routes the fan's power draw through a dedicated waterproof sealed relay, protecting both the fan motor and the vehicle's electrical system. The included FR-PT jumper harness features the AMP/Tyco 180907 connector that plugs directly into the 180908 connector found on most SPAL electric fans, eliminating the need for additional adapters or soldering on compatible applications.

The FRH is intended for use as a relay-only harness - it does not include a thermoswitch. It is ideally paired with SPAL's 185FH or 195FH harness kits when a temperature-triggered switch is needed, or used independently to wire a fan to activate automatically when the A/C compressor is engaged. It also works well for dual-fan setups where two fans share a single switching device, requiring one FRH kit per fan. Beyond electric fans, the FRH is equally suited for wiring lights, water pumps, fuel pumps, or any other 12V accessory drawing up to 40 amps. The kit comes complete with ring terminals, butt splices, fuse holder, and fuses for a clean, professional installation.
