Fitment Notes

• Designed for all 2004-2014 Subaru WRX and WRX STI models equipped with the 2.5L EJ-series turbocharged engine - fitment is determined by throttle body flange, not trim level
• The USDM Subaru WRX STI received the 2.5L EJ257 beginning with the 2004 model year; the standard WRX received the 2.5L EJ255 beginning with the 2005 model year
• Not compatible with 2002-2003 WRX models equipped with the 2.0L EJ205 engine, which use a different throttle body flange configuration
• The Snow Performance High-Flow Solenoid Upgrade (SNO-40060) is mandatory when using any throttle body injection plate - required to prevent vacuum siphoning of fluid into the intake when the system is not active; must be ordered separately
• Not CARB approved - cannot be legally sold or used in California

Product Description

The Snow Performance SNO-40076 is a billet aluminum throttle body spacer injection plate designed specifically for the 2004-2014 Subaru WRX and WRX STI equipped with the 2.5L EJ-series turbocharged engine. The plate installs between the OEM throttle body and intake manifold, adding two pre-machined 1/8 in. NPT ports that provide a precise, repeatable nozzle mounting location immediately downstream of the throttle body - the most effective injection point for charge cooling and detonation suppression in turbocharged applications. The installation requires no drilling, tapping, or permanent modification to any factory component; the plate bolts in using the existing throttle body mounting hardware, and the included gaskets provide a clean, leak-free seal without silicone. One port plug is included for users running a single-nozzle setup, while both ports can be used simultaneously for dual-nozzle configurations on higher-horsepower builds.

This plate is compatible with all Snow Performance Hyper-Sonic water-methanol injection nozzles and all Snow Performance injection system stages, making it a flexible nozzle mounting solution regardless of whether the owner is running a Stage 1, Stage 2, Stage 2.5, or Stage 3 water-methanol system. It can also serve as a nitrous oxide nozzle mount for direct-port nitrous injection. The Snow Performance High-Flow Solenoid Upgrade (SNO-40060) is a mandatory companion to this plate and must be ordered separately. Because the nozzle is positioned downstream of the throttle body where engine vacuum is present at idle and light throttle, the solenoid prevents fluid from being drawn through the nozzle unintentionally when the injection system is not commanded active - a condition that can result in lean engine conditions or hydrolock if left unchecked.

The 2004 USDM WRX STI was the first year this generation received the 2.5L EJ257 engine; the standard WRX transitioned to the 2.5L EJ255 starting in 2005. Both engines share the same throttle body flange configuration that this plate is designed to fit. Owners of 2002-2003 WRX models with the 2.0L EJ205 engine should not use this plate, as the throttle body bolt pattern and bore dimensions differ.
