Product Description

The Skyjacker N8036 is a Nitro 8000 Series twin-tube, 150 PSI nitrogen gas-charged rear shock absorber engineered for 2007-2013 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 4WD trucks running 6 to 7 inches of lift. When a truck is lifted this aggressively, factory shock absorbers are immediately out of their designed travel range - too short to function correctly, leading to harsh, uncontrolled suspension behavior and accelerated wear. The N8036 is purpose-built to fill that gap, with an extended length of 29.83 in. and a stroke of 12.51 in. specifically sized to operate correctly within the suspension geometry of a 6-7 in. lifted GMT900-platform Silverado.

The velocity-sensitive valving continuously adapts damping force in real time based on the speed and severity of suspension movement, delivering a stable and controlled rear end whether you're crawling trails or driving at highway speeds. The 14mm oversized bonded iron piston - larger than factory - produces smoother and more precise fluid displacement across the full stroke. A 150 PSI nitrogen gas charge suppresses fluid aeration during sustained use, maintaining consistent damping without the fade that can plague conventional hydraulic shocks under heavy off-road loading. Red polyurethane bushings at both mount points and an included protective boot keep the shock durable and protected through years of rugged use.

This shock is compatible with all engine options available on the 2007-2013 Silverado 1500 4WD, including the 4.3L V6, 4.8L V8, 5.3L V8, 6.0L V8, and 6.2L V8. It does not fit the 2007 Silverado 1500 Classic model. This is a rear-specific shock designed exclusively for 6-7 in. lift applications - it is not interchangeable with shocks for other lift heights, and it will not perform correctly at stock ride height. Sold individually; order two for a full rear replacement.
