The Skyjacker M9525 is a front-position M95 Performance Monotube shock absorber designed for lifted Jeep Wrangler TJ, Cherokee XJ, and Grand Cherokee ZJ platforms. On the TJ, it covers 3.5-4" of front lift - the most popular lift range for that platform. On the Cherokee XJ and Grand Cherokee ZJ, it spans 4-5" of front lift, making it the correct choice for enthusiasts running full suspension systems with upgraded springs, control arms, or coil spacers that push the front end into that height range. The M9525 is custom-tuned for these specific Jeep platforms and their corresponding lift heights, with valving rates calibrated to the actual geometry, sprung weight, and suspension travel of each application rather than adapted from a generic application.

At the core of the M9525's performance advantage is the monotube construction: a single-tube design where the hydraulic fluid and nitrogen gas charge are kept completely separate by a floating piston. Unlike twin-tube shocks, where the gas and fluid can mix under sustained compression and cause cavitation and fade, the M9525 maintains consistent damping force from the first hit to the last.
