The Russell 684720 is a stainless steel braided hydraulic clutch hose kit engineered as a direct replacement for the factory rubber clutch line on 1999-2000 Honda Civic Si models equipped with the 1.6L DOHC B16A2 engine. Factory rubber clutch lines expand under hydraulic pressure - softening the clutch pedal feel and creating a mushy, imprecise engagement that worsens as the rubber ages and deteriorates from contact with clutch fluid. This Russell kit eliminates that expansion by replacing the rubber hose with a PTFE-lined, stainless steel braided assembly that maintains consistent internal diameter under pressure, resulting in a noticeably firmer and more direct clutch pedal feel.

The PTFE inner liner is chemically inert and resistant to clutch fluid degradation, while the stainless steel outer braid provides abrasion and corrosion protection.
