The CE-9114 is a universal fabricator/builder component compatible with any suspension, steering, or linkage application requiring a 2½" forged rod end with 1¼"-12 right-hand thread and a 2.625" x 0.562" ball. Used in custom suspension builds, control arms, track bars, steering links, sway bar end links, and other high-articulation off-road linkage applications across all vehicle platforms including Jeep, truck, UTV, and custom fabrications. Product Description

The RockJock CE-9114 is the 2½" Johnny Joint® rod end with 1¼"-12 right-hand thread in standard body width - RockJock's original product and the rod end that defined the category for off-road suspension fabricators since 1996. The Johnny Joint solves the fundamental problem with conventional Heim joints in off-road suspension: a standard Heim provides approximately 22° of articulation and transmits every impact, vibration, and noise directly from the axle to the chassis through metal-to-metal ball contact. The CE-9114 replaces the bare metal interface with a high-density urethane bushing encasing the pivot ball, delivering 30°+ of smooth, quiet, cushioned articulation - 34° total misalignment - that absorbs harshness before it reaches the cabin while providing the additional flex range that lifted and modified suspension systems require.

The forged steel body is heat treated and finished in gold zinc plating. The pivot ball is cross-drilled to distribute lubrication from the external 1/4"-28 zerk fitting through the bolt bore directly to the ball/bushing interface. The joint is retained internally with two heat-treated side washers and a snap ring, maintaining geometry under the sustained cyclic loads of off-road service. Greasing must be performed with a hand pump grease gun only - the urethane bushing can be damaged by the high pressure of pneumatic or electric grease guns, and the joint does not accept large volumes of grease. When the bushing eventually wears, the CE-9114 is fully rebuildable using the CE-9110RK rebuild kit.

The CE-9114 is the 1¼"-12 right-hand thread variant in the standard body. For applications requiring left-hand thread (to allow length adjustment on threaded suspension tubes), the CE-9114L provides the same specifications in LH thread. For maximum articulation in traction bar or pan-hard bar applications, the CE-9114N narrow body provides 40°+ articulation with a firmer one-piece bushing.
