The Rigid Industries 36120 is the 360-Series PRO SAE Fog Light pair in white - Rigid's street-legal round LED fog light in the 4-inch format, compliant with SAE J583 for on-road use. Unlike every other 360-Series off-road variant in this family (36112-36119), the 36120 is engineered and certified specifically for legal installation as auxiliary fog lights on public roads. The SAE J583 certification is not a minor distinction - it means the beam geometry, intensity distribution, and cutoff profile have been verified to meet federal motor vehicle safety standards for fog lighting, ensuring the beam does not create glare for oncoming traffic while still providing meaningful low-visibility illumination.

The SAE fog optic produces a 68.6° horizontal x 8.7° vertical beam - dramatically wider than any driving or spot pattern, with a sharp upper cutoff that keeps the beam low and horizontal. In fog, rain, dust, and snow, this pattern illuminates the road surface and lane edges directly in front of the vehicle without projecting light upward into suspended particulates where it reflects back and reduces visibility further. The white lens variant provides true white output with maximum color rendering; the selective yellow variant (36121) is available for applications where maximum contrast and glare reduction in heavy moisture are the priority.
