Product Description

The Ridetech 81001000 Subframe Bushing Kit is designed to reduce unwanted movement between the body and front subframe on compatible GM F-Body and X-Body vehicles. The kit covers 1967-1981 Chevrolet Camaro and Pontiac Firebird applications along with compatible Chevrolet, Buick, Oldsmobile, and Pontiac X-Body models. Unlike soft factory rubber bushings, the Ridetech design provides a firmer connection between the unibody and subframe to improve chassis response.

The bushings combine Delrin and aluminum components to balance chassis rigidity with control of noise, vibration, and harshness. The Delrin portion helps avoid the excessive NVH associated with completely solid aluminum bushings, while the rigid construction reduces the flex that can occur with conventional rubber subframe mounts. The bushings maintain the original factory height, helping preserve the intended subframe-to-body relationship.

The kit includes six subframe bushings and new Grade 8 hardware for installation. It is compatible with Ridetech subframe connectors and is suitable for vehicles using Ridetech air suspension, coil-over suspension, or StreetGrip stock-upgrade systems. Because the application is determined by the chassis and subframe configuration rather than engine output, factory engine variations within the verified vehicle applications do not change the bushing fitment.
