Product Description

The Ohlins HD 779 is the top-of-the-line fully adjustable rear shock set for 2014-2025 Harley-Davidson FLH/FLT Touring models including Road Glide, Street Glide, Road King, Electra Glide, and all CVO/Special Edition variants. The STX36 Blackline twin shocks feature hose-mounted external reservoirs for cooler running under sustained hard riding and two-up touring, with independent compression and rebound damping adjustment, spring preload adjustment, and 1/2" of length adjustability for fine-tuning ride height and chassis geometry.

Each shock set ships with the optimum spring rate matched to the rider's combined weight for maximum comfort, control, and traction -- a dramatic improvement over the factory shocks. The hard-anodized CNC-machined aluminum construction and low-friction shaft/sealhead design deliver consistent, fade-free damping mile after mile. Fully serviceable and rebuildable by Ohlins, making the HD 779 a lifetime investment in ride quality. An evolution of the HD 044 with improved hardware, simplified installation, and a metal compression adjuster. For heavier riders (over 250 lbs solo or 500 lbs combined), the HD 779S2 with a heavier spring rate is available.
