The Ohlins MAS MI30S1 is a complete Road & Track coilover suspension system engineered specifically for the 2005-2015 Mazda Miata / MX-5 NC generation. The system centers on Ohlins' patented Dual Flow Valve (DFV) technology, which provides matched damper fluid flow characteristics on both compression and rebound strokes - allowing the tire to return to the road surface faster after each input for sharper lateral grip, better cornering balance, and a more planted feel at the limit. Application-specific spring rates of 70 N/mm front and 40 N/mm rear are tuned to the NC Miata's geometry and weight distribution, with the softer rear rate reflecting the NC's longer wheelbase and suspension compliance targets.

The front struts include Ohlins spherical bearing upper mounts that replace the OE rubber mounts entirely, delivering sharper steering response and more consistent camber behavior under cornering load. The rear units use the vehicle's original OE top mounts. Both front and rear feature independent spring preload and ride height adjustment - with the rear also offering shock length adjustment - targeting approximately 35mm of lowering below OE with the recommended setup, across an adjustable range of roughly 10-40mm.
