Vehicle Fitment

  • Universal fitment - suitable for all racing gasoline and diesel engines, naturally aspirated, turbocharged, or supercharged, fitted with direct injection, indirect injection, or carburetion.
  • Suitable for tuned engines and high-performance cars operating over a wide range of RPM and temperatures, in severe driving conditions.
  • Compatible with all fuel types including gasoline, diesel, and biofuels - especially ethanol-blended race fuels.
  • Compatible with particulate filter-equipped engines requiring reduced SAPS (Sulfated Ash, Phosphorus, Sulfur) levels.
  • Recommended use types: Circuit racing, Drag racing, Drift, Endurance, GT racing, Hill climb, Historic racing, Rally, Rallycross, Track days, Qualifying, Tuning.
  • Particularly recommended for qualifying sessions and short races requiring maximum power output at high RPM.
  • Always verify the correct viscosity grade for your specific application with your tuning service partner or vehicle owner's manual before use.

Fitment Notes

  • This is a purpose-built racing lubricant rated "Above Existing Standards" - it does not carry conventional API (e.g., SP, SN) or ACEA ratings, as it is formulated for motorsport use beyond those classification limits.
  • The 300V POWER series 0W-30 grade is optimized for applications with low engine oil dilution from unburned fuel. The thinner 0W-30 grade provides the lowest viscosity in the Power series, maximizing cold-start fluidity and initial oil circulation at the expense of some film thickness margin at extreme temperatures - best suited for well-sealed, low-dilution racing engines.
  • Compared to the 300V Power 5W-30 (P/N 110814), the 0W-30 offers enhanced cold-start protection and faster oil pressure establishment at startup - making it particularly well-suited for colder ambient race environments or engines that benefit from the fastest possible oil delivery on startup.
  • Do NOT mix with other synthetic or mineral lubricants - to guarantee optimal performance, use Motul 300V exclusively in a freshly serviced system.
  • Oil change interval should be determined in consultation with your tuning service partner based on actual operating conditions.
  • Does not ship to AK, HI, PR, or internationally. Not available for overnight/express shipping.

Features

  • 100% synthetic formula built on Motul's exclusive ESTER Core® Technology - polar ester molecules adhere actively to metallic engine surfaces, forming a tenacious, persistent oil film that remains in place under extreme load, high temperature, and cold startup conditions.
  • Maximum power output: the ESTER Core® formula minimizes internal friction, translating directly to measurable horsepower and torque gains at the crankshaft compared to conventional synthetic or mineral lubricants.
  • 0W-30 viscosity grade delivers the thinnest cold-flow characteristics in the 300V Power lineup - ensuring rapid oil circulation and fast oil pressure establishment at startup, even in cold ambient temperatures, while maintaining film integrity at race operating temperatures.
  • HTHS viscosity of 3.4 mPa·s at 150°C provides strong oil film resistance under the high shear forces generated in racing engines at peak RPM - protecting bearings, rings, and valve train under sustained load.
  • Exceptional Viscosity Index of 192 - meaning viscosity changes very little across the full operating temperature range, providing consistent lubrication behavior from cold start through sustained high-temperature race operation.
  • Low volatility formula reduces oil consumption during racing use - critical for endurance, long-race, and track day applications where oil top-up opportunities are limited.
  • Friction modifier additive package maximizes power output while simultaneously reducing component operating temperature.
  • High shear stability maintains consistent viscosity and oil pressure throughout the operating range - no viscosity breakdown under sustained load or extreme heat.
  • Biofuel and ethanol compatible - suitable for engines running E85 and other ethanol-blended competition fuels without accelerated oil degradation.
  • Particulate filter compatible - reduced SAPS formulation protects aftertreatment systems on applicable engines.
  • LSPI (Low Speed Pre-Ignition) protection - relevant for modern turbocharged direct-injection engines on track or performance street use.
  • Formulated with partially organic (non-fossil renewable) base stocks - reduces carbon footprint during manufacturing by approximately 25% versus conventional synthetic base oils.
  • Packaged in a 2-liter iron tin can - resistant to leakage, UV degradation, and chemical permeation; preserves oil quality during storage between race events.

Product Description

The Motul 110856 is the 2-liter tin can of Motul 300V Power 0W-30 - the thinnest-viscosity grade in the 300V Power series and one of the most demanding racing lubricants in Motul's lineup. Sharing the same ESTER Core® Technology foundation as the rest of the 300V family, the 0W-30 grade is tuned for applications where cold-start oil flow, rapid pressure buildup at startup, and minimum internal friction are the defining priorities. Its exceptional Viscosity Index of 192 - among the highest in any racing engine oil - means the oil resists viscosity thinning at high operating temperature far more than conventional synthetic alternatives, while the 0W cold rating ensures immediate lubrication of critical engine surfaces at the very first moment of cranking, even in cold ambient conditions.

The 300V Power series is positioned within Motul's racing oil lineup as the maximum-power, minimum-viscosity family - best suited for engines with low fuel dilution from unburned hydrocarbons, where the thinnest possible film weight can be used without sacrificing film integrity under load. The 0W-30 sits at the extreme light end of that range: delivering every measurable friction reduction advantage the ESTER Core® formula can provide, while the HTHS of 3.4 mPa·s at 150°C confirms adequate film strength for high-RPM bearing loads in qualifying and sprint racing conditions. Compared to the 5W-30 sibling (P/N 110814), the 0W-30 offers faster initial oil delivery and is particularly suited for engines and environments where the fastest possible startup protection matters - cold-climate racing events, quick warm-up requirements, or engines that benefit from the absolute fastest oil pressure rise on cold cranking.

Like all Motul 300V formulations, the 110856 is rated "Above Existing Standards" - it carries no API or ACEA classification because it is engineered beyond the envelope those frameworks are designed to cover. The formula features biofuel and ethanol compatibility for teams running E-fuel or E85 blends, LSPI protection for modern turbocharged direct-injection engine platforms on track, and a reduced-SAPS composition compatible with particulate filter systems. Packaging is in a 2-liter (2.1 qt) iron tin can introduced with the June 2022 packaging update. Most racing applications require multiple liters per service - available individually or by the case of ten (P/N 110856-10). Made in France.
