Fitment Notes

• The factory clock spring (spiral cable) must be removed, or the hub must be modified to accommodate the clock spring connector, prior to installation. Failure to address the clock spring will prevent the hub from seating correctly on the steering column.
• Removing the clock spring will disable airbag, horn, and cruise control functions that route through it - plan for these electrical accommodations before installation.
• This hub is designed for aftermarket steering wheel installation only - the factory OEM airbag steering wheel cannot be reinstalled using this hub.
• For vehicles equipped with an SRS airbag system, the airbag must be properly disabled and deactivated before installation. This hub does not include airbag resistor wiring or SRS bypass functionality.
• Compatible with MOMO, Sparco, OMP, NRG, and any other aftermarket steering wheel using a 6 x 70mm PCD bolt pattern. Not directly compatible with Nardi or Personal wheels (74mm PCD) without a separate PCD adapter.

Product Description

The MOMO 7310 is a vehicle-specific collapsible steering wheel hub adapter engineered for the 2001-2008 Subaru Impreza WRX and 2004-2008 WRX STI (GD/GG chassis). It provides the mechanical interface between the factory Subaru steering column - with its 36-spline, 16mm shaft - and any aftermarket steering wheel using the standard MOMO 6 x 70mm PCD 6-bolt pattern, including wheels from MOMO, Sparco, OMP, and NRG. The WRX and STI are among the most heavily modified sport compact platforms in the aftermarket community, and the 7310 is the purpose-built MOMO hub for these applications.

A critical installation requirement for this hub is that the factory clock spring (spiral cable assembly) must be removed, or the hub itself must be modified, to accommodate the clock spring connector. The Subaru WRX/STI clock spring routes airbag, horn, and cruise control wiring through the center of the steering column, and the bulk of this assembly conflicts with the hub's internal structure. Installers should plan for the electrical implications of removing the clock spring - at minimum, airbag deactivation is required, and horn wiring will need to be redirected or a horn delete performed. A compatible MOMO horn button (sold separately) can be used to retain horn functionality in some configurations.
