It replaces the factory plastic cap - which is prone to cracking and fading over time under engine bay heat and oil exposure - with a precision-machined 6061 aluminum unit that holds its finish and its seal indefinitely. The black anodized coating provides corrosion resistance and a sharp, purposeful look that complements both stock and modified engine bays, while the laser-etched Mishimoto logo on the top face adds a clean finishing detail visible whenever the hood is up.
