Fitment Notes

• This kit is the probe-style sensor variant (MMFAN-CNTL-UPROBE). The temperature sensor is a push-in radiator probe that inserts directly into the radiator fins - no radiator drilling or thread tapping required. For a thread-in 1/8-inch NPT sensor installation, see Mishimoto MMFAN-CNTL-U18NPT.
• Designed for use with 1 or 2 electric fans drawing a combined maximum of 25 amps. Fans drawing more than 25 amps combined are not compatible without a supplemental relay.

The Mishimoto MMFAN-CNTL-UPROBE is a universal adjustable electric fan controller kit designed to automate and precisely control any 12V electric cooling fan or dual-fan setup. Rather than relying on a fixed-temperature switch or manual fan activation, this controller allows the user to dial in the exact coolant temperature at which the fan(s) engage - anywhere from 150°F to 240°F - providing full flexibility to match the controller's behavior to the specific thermal requirements of any engine. Once the set temperature is reached, the controller activates the fan(s) via the included relay; when temperature drops 10°F below the activation threshold, the fans shut off automatically, preventing constant cycling and extending fan motor life. This thermostatically controlled approach is far more precise than binary on/off temperature switches and ensures the cooling system operates efficiently at all times.

The UPROBE variant uses a push-in probe-style temperature sensor that inserts directly into the radiator fins, making it the ideal choice for radiators without pre-tapped sensor ports. No drilling, tapping, or radiator modification is required - the probe simply slides between the fins and measures coolant temperature through the core. The built-in A/C override feature is a critical practical addition: whenever the vehicle's air conditioning compressor is active, the controller automatically triggers the cooling fan(s) regardless of coolant temperature, ensuring the A/C condenser always receives the airflow it needs for efficient refrigerant cooling - particularly important at low vehicle speeds or when idling. The controller supports up to two fans simultaneously, provided their combined amp draw does not exceed 25 amps, making it compatible with most single and dual Mishimoto slim or curved blade fan setups.
