Vehicle Fitment

  • 1986-1992 Toyota Supra (MKIII; MA70 Chassis; 3.0L 7M-GE Inline-6 Non-Turbo; Manual Transmission Only)
  • 1987-1992 Toyota Supra Turbo (MKIII; MA70 Chassis; 3.0L 7M-GTE Inline-6 Turbo; Manual Transmission Only)

Fitment Notes

  • Fits both turbo (7M-GTE) and non-turbo (7M-GE) MKIII Supra variants - no separate part number required
  • Manual transmission vehicles only - automatic transmission applications require the optional Mishimoto Universal Transmission Cooler Kit (MMTC-U), sold separately
  • The 1986 model year refers to the mid-year 1986.5 MKIII (MA70); the full 1986 calendar-year Supra was the MKII (MA67) and is not compatible
  • Direct bolt-on OEM fit - no cutting, fabrication, or adapter work required
  • Suitable for stock, modified, and engine-swapped MKIII Supra builds

Features

  • Direct fit for the 1986-1992 MKIII Toyota Supra 3.0L - compatible with both 7M-GE and 7M-GTE engines
  • Two-row 100% brazed aluminum core with a 2.2" thick profile provides substantially increased heat dissipation over the aging OEM radiator
  • Precision TIG-welded aluminum end tanks replace the factory components prone to corrosion and cracking after decades of heat cycling
  • Increased fluid capacity for improved thermal regulation during sustained street and track driving
  • Included 1.3 bar high-pressure radiator cap raises the coolant boiling point for safer, more efficient operation under boost
  • Included magnetic drain plug captures metallic debris and particles circulating in the coolant circuit
  • Handles the cooling demands of stock and forced induction MKIII builds including high-boost 7M-GTE applications
  • Backed by the Mishimoto Lifetime Warranty

Product Description

The Mishimoto MMRAD-SUP-86 is a direct-fit 2-row performance aluminum radiator engineered for the 1986.5-1992 Toyota Supra MKIII (MA70 chassis) equipped with either the naturally aspirated 7M-GE or turbocharged 7M-GTE inline-6 engine on a manual transmission. After 30+ years, the OEM radiator on these Supras is a well-documented failure point - corroded end tanks, cracked plastic components, and reduced cooling efficiency are common issues that put aging engines at risk. Mishimoto's fully aluminum replacement features a 2-row brazed aluminum core with a 2.2" thick profile and TIG-welded aluminum end tanks, delivering increased coolant capacity and superior heat dissipation for stock and built MKIII Supra applications alike.

The MMRAD-SUP-86 is a confirmed direct OEM fit requiring no cutting, fabrication, or adapter work - it installs in place of the factory radiator. Compatible with both the naturally aspirated and turbocharged variants, it handles the cooling demands of high-boost 7M-GTE builds as well as daily-driven and restored MKIII Supras. The included 1.3 bar high-pressure radiator cap raises the coolant boiling point for improved safety under load, and the magnetic drain plug protects the system by capturing metallic particles during coolant changes. Backed by the Mishimoto Lifetime Warranty.
