The Mishimoto MMLP-BRZ-22 is a front license plate relocation kit engineered specifically for the 2022+ Subaru BRZ (ZD8) and Toyota GR86 (ZN8). On both of these cars, the factory front license plate mounts directly in the center of the lower front bumper grille opening - the exact position where airflow enters the front bumper to reach the radiator. The consequences are twofold: the plate creates measurable aerodynamic drag by presenting a flat surface to oncoming air, and it restricts the airflow available to the radiator at lower speeds and in traffic where cooling demand is at its highest. Neither of these is ideal for a platform built around driver engagement and handling precision, and the aesthetic impact of a plate centered in the middle of an otherwise clean bumper is equally problematic for owners who have invested in the car's appearance.

The bracket is fabricated from 6061 aluminum with an anodized black shaft and a powder-coated black plate bracket, and its geometry is specifically designed to hug the bumper contour of this platform rather than sitting proud of the body surface.
