The Mishimoto MMINT-F2D-17BK is a direct-fit air-to-water performance intercooler engineered for the 2017+ Ford F-Series Super Duty with the 6.7L Powerstroke turbocharged diesel engine. The development of this intercooler was driven by a well-documented failure mode in the factory unit: the OEM 6.7L Powerstroke uses a stamped and stacked plate intercooler design that is susceptible to internal coolant leaks over time. When the intercooler leaks internally, engine coolant enters the charge air circuit, dramatically reducing the intercooler's ability to cool the compressed intake air and introducing coolant contamination into the engine.
