The Mishimoto MMTC-4RUN-10 is a direct-fit performance transmission cooler engineered specifically for the fifth-generation Toyota 4Runner (2010-2024) equipped with the 4.0L V6 and automatic transmission. The 5th-gen 4Runner's stock cooling system handles everyday driving effectively, but its in-tank liquid-to-liquid transmission cooler reaches its thermal limits during sustained towing, steep descents, or extended off-road and overlanding use. This front-mounted, air-to-fluid tube-and-fin cooler addresses that gap by supplementing the factory system with dedicated external cooling capacity - reducing fluid temperatures before they return to the in-tank cooler and substantially lowering the thermal load across the entire drivetrain circuit.

The cooler's high-efficiency internal fin design maximizes the surface area contacting transmission fluid, pulling heat out more aggressively than a basic tube-and-fin core.
