The Mahle 41926CP is a plasma-moly piston ring set engineered specifically for Volkswagen 2.0L ABA and AEG four-cylinder engines across the 1990-2009 Golf, Jetta, Cabrio, New Beetle, GTI, and Passat model range. As the world's largest piston ring manufacturer and a primary OEM supplier, Mahle engineers these rings to OE specifications -- the same material grades, tolerances, and ring geometry used in factory assembly.

The top compression ring features a plasma-moly face coating on a carbon steel base for reduced friction and resistance to scuffing under high cylinder temperatures. A barrel-faced contact profile and CNC-controlled gap chamfer minimize blow-by and maximize compression retention. The reverse-twist intermediate ring improves groove side sealing, and the CP-20 oil ring assembly uses a 20-degree ear angle -- an exclusive Mahle feature -- for superior oil control and side sealing. All rings arrive pre-lapped, seating immediately after installation with virtually no traditional break-in period required.
