Fitment Notes

• Rear axle application, sold individually
• Chassis must have Independent Front Suspension (IFS)
• Some Spartan/PowerGlide chassis use a 5/8" lower shock bolt instead of the standard 3/4" -- check fit with a 1-1/8" wrench before ordering
• 3/4" to 5/8" steel bushing kit required if lower bolt is 5/8"
• Freightliner M2 rear applications require 1x W1166 spacer + 3x W1168 spacers per shock
• Verify exact chassis configuration before ordering

Product Description

The KONI 8805-1009 is a rear FSD (Frequency Selective Damping) shock absorber engineered for Spartan Mountain Master, K2, and K3 chassis, along with Tiffin PowerGlide-based diesel pusher motorhomes running Reyco Granning, ZF, or I-beam independent front suspension. KONI's FSD technology automatically adapts damping to changing road conditions in a fraction of a second -- firm during cornering and heavy suspension movement, softening over expansion joints and rough pavement for a genuinely smoother ride.

A specialized internal valve filters harsh road vibrations, thumps, and noise before they reach the coach, meaningfully reducing driver fatigue on long highway trips. Built with special hydraulic fluid rated for the extreme temperatures RV driving can produce, this shock reduces rear suspension bounce, body roll, and swaying, delivering improved chassis control and highway stability compared to factory shocks.

Sold individually, this shock requires careful chassis verification before ordering -- some Spartan and PowerGlide chassis use a 5/8" lower shock bolt rather than the standard 3/4", identifiable with a simple 1-1/8" wrench fit test, and a bushing kit is needed if the smaller bolt is present.
