The Hella 996152141 (5HE 996 152-141) is a 24V DC time control unit with manually adjustable drop-out (switch-off) delay, replacing the legacy Hella part number 3086-24V. It is one of the most widely deployed timer relays in European heavy commercial vehicles and industrial machinery, with confirmed OEM cross-references across Schmitz Cargobull, Liebherr, Volvo, MAN, Scania, John Deere, Renault Trucks, Manitou, Jungheinrich, Terex, Demag, Putzmeister, and many other platforms. The drop-out delay function means the changeover contact operates normally when trigger power is applied, and then holds for the pre-adjusted period - anywhere from zero to 900 seconds - after trigger power is removed before releasing. This makes it ideal for applications where a controlled shutdown delay is required: fan motors that must continue running to cool down after the ignition is switched off, headlight washers, fuel pump shutoffs, and similar delayed-deactivation functions.
