Product Description

The Fox 985-24-085 is a 2.0 Performance Series IFP rear shock for the 1997-2006 Jeep Wrangler TJ (0-2" lift) and 1984-2001 Jeep Cherokee XJ (0-1.5" lift). The IFP mono-tube separates shock oil from the high-pressure nitrogen charge, eliminating oil aeration and maintaining consistent damping through sustained off-road cycling -- the primary cause of shock fade in conventional twin-tube designs. Application-specific valving is tuned for the TJ and XJ rear suspension geometry rather than a universal calibration.

The 2.0" impact-extruded 6061-T6 aluminum body dissipates heat faster than steel and resists corrosion. Black anodized CNC-machined aluminum components throughout, with an included aluminum reservoir mounting clamp. For 2.5-3.5" TJ or 2-3" XJ lift applications, see Fox 985-24-086.
