The FOX 985-24-009 2.0 Performance Series Smooth Body IFP Shock is a high-travel universal shock designed for off-road and lifted suspension applications. Featuring a 2.0" diameter smooth body and Internal Floating Piston (IFP) mono-tube design, this shock separates nitrogen gas from shock fluid to minimize aeration and maintain consistent damping performance through extensive travel and rough terrain.

Constructed with an impact-extruded aluminum body and precision CNC-machined components, this shock offers excellent heat dissipation and corrosion resistance versus conventional steel units. The race-developed high-flow piston and redundant sealing system help ensure smooth response and long service life, while quiet nitrile rubber bushings reduce noise and allow greater articulation. Because this shock is universal, appropriate mounts or brackets are required for vehicle-specific installation, making it ideal for custom lift builds, performance rigs, and off-road projects requiring substantial suspension travel.
