The Fluidampr 840801 harmonic damper is engineered to mitigate harmful torsional vibrations in 2.5L-3.0L Toyota and Lexus I6 engines, including the 1JZ and 2JZ series. These vibrations, caused by torque spikes during combustion, can lead to premature wear on critical engine components such as the crankshaft, bearings, and timing gear. By installing this viscous damper, you can reduce the risk of crank failure, achieve more accurate valvetrain operation, and extend engine life.

Unlike stock rubber-based dampers, the Fluidampr 840801 utilizes a fluid-filled design that adapts to engine modifications and continuously self-tunes across the entire RPM range. This makes it an ideal choice for both stock and modified engines. The damper features a black zinc finish for enhanced corrosion resistance and is SFI 18.1 certified, ensuring compliance with motorsport safety standards.

Please note that mounting hardware is not included with this damper. It is recommended to use a Grade 8 crankshaft bolt and washer for installation, tightening to the engine manufacturer's specified torque. Ensure the damper is fully seated before securing.
