Product Description

EBC GD578 GD Sport rotors are performance-oriented front brake rotors designed for selected Volkswagen applications using the 280 mm vented front braking system. The 3GD design combines wide-aperture slots with precision dimpled surfaces to help remove heat, gases, water, dust, and other debris from the braking zone while maintaining consistent friction between the brake pad and rotor.

The GD578 is verified for the 1992-1995 Volkswagen Corrado SLC, 1995 Volkswagen Golf GTI VR6, 1994-1995 Volkswagen Jetta GLX, and 1993-1995 Volkswagen Passat GLX, all with the applicable 2.8L V6 configuration and front-wheel drive. The rotor uses a 280 mm diameter, 22 mm nominal thickness, 29 mm height, 65 mm center bore, and 5 x 100 mm mounting pattern.

These rotors are supplied as a matched two-piece front-axle set and are intended for compatible OE-style calipers. EBC's dimpled and slotted design is suited to performance street use and higher-load braking, while the protective coating helps reduce corrosion on areas outside the brake-pad contact surface.
