Product Description

The Driveshaft Shop 510278 (formerly RA5454X5) is a Level 6 left-side rear CV axle rated to 1400HP+ for the 2010-2015 Chevrolet Camaro SS, ZL1, and Z/28, as well as the 2014-2017 Chevrolet SS Sedan. Engineered as a direct bolt-in replacement using OEM stub shafts, this axle requires no differential modification and installs in place of the factory unit. The centerpiece of the design is a certified 300M center bar running a full 30-spline interface -- the same spec as a Viper T56 output shaft -- paired with a custom 108mm CV joint using a 300M center race that no other manufacturer offers. The 4340AQ cage is REM polished and features a redesigned window radius for maximum strength without brittleness.

These axles are purpose-built for high-horsepower street cars that also see regular track use in drag, road course, and autocross applications. The custom outer CV boot was specifically engineered to avoid contact with the upper control arm on lowered vehicles -- a known clearance issue with competing designs. CNC rolled splines throughout ensure greater fatigue resistance compared to cut splines, as rolling compresses rather than removes material. Sold as a left-side unit individually -- pair with Driveshaft Shop 510282 for a complete axle set. Made in the USA and backed by a 1-year warranty.
