Fitment Notes

• Designed for T4 turbine housing configurations. Verify your turbocharger is a T4 housing size before ordering.
• This listing is for the shield only (DEI 10181). The full kit (DEI 10182) includes the T4 shield, 2" x 15 ft of black Onyx heat wrap, stainless locking ties, and 5 ft of fastening wire.
• Once heat-cycled, the basalt fiber outer layer loses initial flexibility - the shield is not intended for repeated removal after installation. Thermal properties remain fully intact after heat cycling.
• Not designed for use with flammable fluid spills. Ensure all oil and fluid fittings are properly sealed before installation.

The DEI 10181 is the Onyx Series T4 Turbo Shield - a premium, USA-made turbocharger heat barrier engineered to reduce turbo lag and protect underhood components from extreme radiant heat. Built from pulverized volcanic rock (basalt fiber) with high-temp silica insulation padding beneath, the Onyx Series delivers 1,800°F direct and 2,500°F radiant heat resistance with an aggressive matte black carbon fiber aesthetic. Riveted stainless steel anchors and double-reinforced inside and outside seams keep the shield securely in place even under sustained high-horsepower, high-heat operation.

By retaining heat within the turbine housing, this shield increases exhaust gas velocity and accelerates turbo spool-up, resulting in a measurable reduction in turbo lag and cooler intake air temperatures.
