The DBA DB1482XP is a front axle Xtreme Performance brake pad set covering one of the most extensive shared Toyota-Lexus platform families in the 4WD and truck segment - spanning the Toyota 4Runner (2003-2022), FJ Cruiser (2007-2014), Tacoma (2005-2018), Tundra (2000-2006), Sequoia (2001-2007), and the Lexus GX 470 (2003-2009) and GX 460 (2010-2023). These platforms share the same front brake pad geometry and are all known for heavy-duty use - towing, overlanding, off-road work, and loaded highway driving - precisely the conditions where standard OE front pads fall short in high-temperature fade resistance and initial bite. The DB1482XP delivers the level of front braking performance these platforms demand, with a G-G class friction rating, a 0.45 average mu, and an operating ceiling of 550°C (1,022°F).

DBA's Thermal Stability Profiling (TSP) process ensures the compound reaches its working friction zone quickly from cold, while the factory-scorched friction surface eliminates the green fade period that typically accompanies new pad installation. For the best overall front braking system on these platforms, DBA recommends pairing the DB1482XP with T3 slotted 4000 Series or 5000 Series front rotors; it is also compatible with T2, X, and XS rotor variants.
