The DBA DBA5654BLKS-10 is a 5000 Series T3 two-piece slotted front brake rotor for the 2004-2017 Subaru WRX STI and 2017-2020 BRZ with the Performance Package, both equipped with factory Brembo front calipers and 326mm front rotors. This rotor combines a high-carbon alloyed cast iron ring with an aerospace-grade 6061-T6 aluminum hat, fastened with National Aerospace Standards (NAS) bolts and crimp nuts. The aluminum hat reduces unsprung weight for improved handling while allowing uniform radial disc expansion and reducing heat transfer from the disc to the hub and wheel bearings.

The patented T3 bi-directional tri-symmetrical slot design builds on DBA's proven T2 pattern with additional CNC-machined slots that increase exit points for friction dust and gases, delivering quieter, more responsive, and smoother braking. DBA's Kangaroo Paw internal ventilation provides up to 20% better heat dissipation than conventional straight-vane rotors, and the centre-split core casting further enhances thermal efficiency. Each rotor features a CBN machine-turned finish to minimize disc thickness variation and TGHP thermographic heat paint markings that change color at specific temperature thresholds for visual monitoring of braking temperatures and rotor fatigue. Sold as a complete assembly; replacement rings and hats are available separately for economical future service. Recommended for high-performance street, track day, club racing, and rally applications.
