Product Description

The CSF 8368 is a high-performance OEM+ A/C evaporator for the Porsche 911 964 (1989-1994) and 993 (1994-1998), covering Carrera, Carrera 2, Carrera 4, Carrera 4S, Turbo, Targa, RS America, and Speedster variants. It represents CSF's first foray into high-performance evaporator design, applying decades of A/C condenser engineering experience to solve a well-known issue with air conditioning performance on these classic 911 platforms: the original evaporators were designed for R12 refrigerant, which has far superior thermodynamic properties compared to the R134a now used in these systems. Even brand-new OEM-spec replacement evaporators replicate the original R12-era design and consequently underperform with R134a, resulting in weak cooling output and poor temperature differential.

The CSF 8368 addresses this at the core level with 26mm 12-channel super-high-pressure microtubes, a cross-flow parallel dual core layout, 24 cooling tube rows paired with 25 rows of 8mm multi-louvered fins, and pre-installed foam sealing - all in a plug-and-play package using OEM-style inlet/outlet connections that requires no modifications. The OE expansion valve attaches to the included bracket using O-rings, and must be transferred from the original unit. Hardware and O-rings are included.
