Product Description

The COMP Cams 201-306-17 is a Stage 3 HRT hydraulic roller camshaft crafted for modern Gen III HEMI V8 engines (5.7L / 6.4L) that use Variable Valve Timing (VVT). Engineered with "Low Shock" lobe design, this cam provides excellent valvetrain stability at high RPMs while reducing the stress on valve springs. The Micro Surface Enhancement (MSE) finish gives it superior load-bearing capacity - ideal for boosted, stroked, or high-performance naturally aspirated builds.

This cam is built for serious performance. It's recommended to use COMP #7230 valve springs, and due to its aggressive profile and VVT application, a phaser limiter or lock is required. To fully unleash its potential, a custom ECU tune is necessary. While it delivers strong mid-range torque gains and high-RPM power, it's not designed for use with stock MDS and requires non-MDS lifters and a proper phaser management setup.
