Product Description

The Clevite SH1990S is a direct-replacement camshaft bearing set engineered specifically for the Chrysler Gen III HEMI V8 in both 5.7L and 6.1L displacement. Constructed with B-1 steel-backed babbitt material - featuring a copper-lead alloy intermediate layer, nickel dam for chemical stability, and an electroplated white metal babbitt overlay - these bearings deliver the conformability, embedability, and slipperiness the HEMI camshaft requires for reliable long-term operation.

Each bearing is precision bored to OEM-specified clearances right out of the box, eliminating the need for align-boring during installation. The SH1990S fits the Gen III HEMI block used across Dodge, Chrysler, Jeep, and Ram vehicles from 2003 through 2010. Note that 2009 and later HEMI engines equipped with VVT (Variable Valve Timing) use a different camshaft bearing set (SH2191S) - always confirm engine generation before ordering.
