The Carli CS-FRSM-1723 Weld-In Rear Shock Mount Pair addresses a real limitation on 2017-2024 Ford F250/F350 4x4 trucks: the boxed frame Ford introduced that year improved rigidity but eliminated the riveted shock mount buckets earlier trucks had, making a true bolt-on upgrade impossible. Carli's solution welds in a significantly stronger mount capable of handling shocks up to 3.0" in diameter, directly in the factory location.

Installation involves cutting, grinding, punching, and welding, with both mounts typically completed in under two hours, and the kit includes misalignment spacers to adapt popular off-road race shocks like King or Fox. These mounts are not intended for factory-style or bushing-equipped shocks, and they won't fit the Pintop kit due to its rear hose routing - but for owners running upgraded remote-reservoir shocks like the E-Venture, this is a meaningful strength upgrade over the stock mounting point.
