Product Description

The BoostLine VW5669-905 is a set of four patented 3-pocket forged connecting rods engineered for the Volkswagen/Audi 2.0T TSI EA888 Gen 3 engine with the 23mm wrist pin found in the MK7/MK8 GTI, Golf R, Jetta GLI, Audi S3, TTS, and related MQB platform vehicles. Purpose-built for demanding turbocharged, supercharged, and nitrous applications, the 3-pocket design combines the best attributes of both H-beam (low mass) and I-beam (high strength) architectures, delivering 60% more bending strength and 20% lower tensile stress than conventional H-beam rods -- critical advantages under the extreme cylinder pressures generated by high-boost forced induction builds.

Each rod is forged from premium 4340 steel, heat-treated, shot-peened, and fitted with ARP 2000 cap screws (220,000 PSI) before final CNC finish machining in Mentor, Ohio. High-quality Ampco bronze small-end bushings are pressed in with pin clearance set at 0.0009"-0.0011" to allow engine builders to fine-tune wrist pin fit. Every rod is individually inspected on aerospace-grade CMM equipment and ships with a detailed inspection report documenting critical dimensions to 0.0001". Rated to support 1,000 HP on 4-cylinder applications. For even higher power targets, the ARP 625+ bolt upgrade (VW5669-905+, 260,000-280,000 PSI) is available.
