Vehicle Fitment

  • 2016-2024 Chevrolet Camaro 6th Gen (All Trims: LS, LT, RS, SS, ZL1, Z/28 - All engines: 2.0L Turbo I4, 3.6L V6, 6.2L V8 - RWD)

Fitment Notes

  • Fits 2016 and newer 6th-gen Chevrolet Camaro only - does not fit 5th-gen Camaro (2010-2015); the independent rear suspension architecture changed significantly between generations and these bearings are not interchangeable
  • Replaces the factory rear lower control arm inner bushings specifically - the inner pivot mount at the cradle/subframe end of the lower control arm; not to be confused with the lower trailing arm outer bushings (BK066) or upper control arm/trailing arm positions
  • For comprehensive rear spherical bearing coverage across all four rear suspension link positions, pair with: BK065 (rear upper trailing arm outer), BK066 (rear lower trailing arm outer), and BK069 (rear upper control arm outer)
  • Position: Rear lower control arm, inner (both left and right sides - full kit for both corners)
  • The cup and bearing assembly presses into the rear spindle - a hydraulic press is required for installation; professional installation is recommended
  • Estimated installation time: 2-3 hours
  • A rear wheel alignment is recommended after installation

Features

  • Heavy-duty 3/4-inch spherical bearings replace the factory air-pocket rubber bushings at the rear lower control arm inner mount - eliminating the compliance and deflection that allows excessive lower control arm movement under hard acceleration, braking, and cornering
  • Machined bearing cups provide a precise, press-fit interface between the spherical bearing and the rear spindle - delivering a secure, repeatable mounting without dependence on clamping force alone
  • CNC-machined billet aluminum spacers complete the assembly, ensuring correct bearing positioning, load distribution, and precise fitment within the spindle housing
  • Virtually eliminates lower control arm inner bushing movement by solidly linking the lower control arm to the rear spindle - the most direct solution to inner-bushing-induced wheelhop at this location on the 6th-gen platform
  • Reduces rear spindle rotation during hard launches and aggressive acceleration by removing the primary compliance path at the inner lower control arm pivot
  • Increases traction and launch consistency by preventing power-absorbing bushing deflection from allowing spindle geometry to shift under load
  • Increases throttle response and makes power delivery more predictable by stabilizing rear suspension geometry under acceleration
  • Improves handling stability and cornering feel by reducing unwanted lower control arm movement under lateral loads during cornering
  • Black anodized finish provides durable corrosion resistance suited to the heat, moisture, and debris environment of the rear suspension
  • Designed for street performance, drag racing, and road racing/handling applications
  • Proudly designed and manufactured in the USA by BMR Suspension

Product Description

The BMR Suspension BK067 is a rear lower control arm inner spherical bearing kit engineered for the 2016-2024 Chevrolet Camaro 6th Gen to directly address bushing deflection at one of the most load-intensive pivot points in the independent rear suspension: the inner mount of the rear lower control arm. The factory rubber bushings at this location are molded with internal air pockets that prioritize comfort and NVH isolation, but under the high load transfer forces generated during hard launches, spirited gear changes, and aggressive cornering, these voids allow the lower control arm to flex and pivot at the inner mount - shifting the rear spindle's dynamic geometry, absorbing power through the bushing rather than delivering it to the tire, and directly contributing to the wheelhop and inconsistent traction behavior common on performance-driven 6th-gen Camaros.

The BK067 resolves this by replacing the factory rubber bushing with a heavy-duty 3/4-inch spherical bearing pressed into a machined bearing cup, with CNC-machined billet aluminum spacers completing the assembly within the rear spindle. The spherical bearing allows the lower control arm to articulate freely through its intended range of motion while completely eliminating the lateral compliance of the OEM rubber - nearly solidly linking the lower control arm to the rear spindle at the inner pivot and removing the primary compliance path through which power is lost and alignment geometry shifts under load. The result is dramatically reduced wheelhop, more consistent traction off the line, sharper throttle response under acceleration, and improved cornering stability. The BK067 is finished in black anodized aluminum, designed and built in the USA by BMR Suspension, and backed by their 2-year limited warranty. Installation requires a hydraulic press for bearing cup installation; professional installation is recommended. For complete rear spherical bearing coverage on the 6th-gen Camaro, the BK067 pairs with BK065, BK066, and BK069 to address all four rear suspension link positions.
