Product Description

The Bilstein 24-249485 is a B6 Performance series 46mm monotube rear shock absorber for the 2015-2021 Subaru WRX and WRX STI (VA chassis). The B6 is a direct performance upgrade over the factory rear dampers, designed to be paired with the OE springs -- no lowering springs or suspension modifications are required. Application-specific valve settings and Bilstein's legendary gas-pressure monotube technology deliver improved grip, enhanced lane stability, more precise handling, and better vehicle dynamics in everyday driving, highway cruising, and spirited cornering situations compared to the stock dampers.

The monotube design provides superior heat dissipation and more consistent damping performance over longer driving sessions compared to twin-tube designs, with higher power reserves and longer service life -- even under the demands of frequent loaded driving, trailer towing, or aggressive cornering. The 46mm bore provides ample oil volume for fade-free performance. Each damper is individually tuned and rigorously tested at Bilstein's facility to meet or exceed OE quality standards. Collapsed length is 300mm (11.81") with an extended length of 409mm (16.10"), stem upper mount, and 12.4mm eye lower mount. Spring seat is included; boot is not.
