Product Description

The Old Man Emu CS001F is a Dakar series front leaf spring for the 1969-1985 Toyota Land Cruiser 40 Series, covering FJ40, BJ42, BJ60, and BJ70 chassis in both gasoline and diesel configurations. The CS001F delivers 1.5" of front lift at a stock/light load rating, making it the correct choice for lightly accessorized builds or vehicles near stock weight. For heavier builds -- rooftop tents, winches, bull bars, or long-range fuel tanks -- adding the OME D3XL extra leaf upgrades the pack to CS002F spec, and a second D3XL takes it to CS002F Heavy++.

OME's Dakar leaf spring construction uses draw-tapered and diamond cut leaves to distribute load progressively across a larger surface area, reducing the high stress concentrations that develop at leaf ends and dramatically extending spring life. Bolted clamps allow installation of anti-squeak nylon liners, re-greaseable nylon interleaf pads reduce friction at the leaf tips, and the pack is shot peened and fully scragged at the factory to resist sagging over time. The flat axle seat design provides a positive, secure axle mount without introducing stress risers. Sold as a single spring -- order two for a complete front pair. Companion rear spring is CS001R.
