Vehicle Fitment

  • 2005-2012 Nissan Pathfinder (R51, All Trims - S, SE, SE Off-Road, LE, Silver Edition, SV), 4.0L V6, 4WD/AWD

Fitment Notes

  • Rear coil spring set only. Front struts sold separately. Fits the R51 generation Pathfinder (2005-2012) only. Does not fit the R50 (1996-2004) or R52 (2013+) Pathfinder.
  • This is the Heavy Load (HD) variant, designed for vehicles carrying approximately 200 lbs (90 kg) or more of additional permanent load such as tow bars, rear accessories, or cargo. For lightly loaded or stock-weight vehicles, see OME 2609 (Medium Load).
  • A 4-wheel alignment is required after installation. On North American R51 Pathfinders, alignment adjustments may require slotting of mounting holes. Upgrading upper control arms (such as SPC adjustable UCAs) is recommended alongside this installation to maintain proper alignment geometry.
  • Pairs with OME Nitrocharger Sport or Nitro Plus rear shocks for a fully integrated Old Man Emu suspension system.

Features

  • Provides approximately 1.25 inches (30mm) of rear lift over stock ride height with a heavy load, improving ground clearance for larger tires and off-road use.
  • Manufactured from X5K micro-alloyed spring steel for superior strength, corrosion resistance, and long-term resistance to sagging.
  • Double scragged - processed before and after shot peening - to eliminate residual stress and extend spring service life significantly beyond standard OEM springs.
  • Formed on computer-precision mandrels to ensure dimensional consistency and accurate spring rate across the entire production run.
  • Spring end configurations designed to exact OEM specifications for guaranteed drop-in fitment with no modification required.
  • Engineered with a focus on ride control and load-carrying improvement, not just ride height - delivering a more composed, controlled ride both on-road and off-road.
  • Finished in durable, hard-wearing black powder coat for long-term weather and corrosion resistance.
  • Designed and manufactured in Australia by Old Man Emu (ARB), with over 45 years of 4WD suspension expertise.
  • Backed by Old Man Emu's 3-year / 37,000-mile limited warranty.

Product Description

The Old Man Emu 2610 is a heavy load rear coil spring set engineered specifically for the 2005-2012 Nissan Pathfinder R51. Designed around ARB and Old Man Emu's core philosophy of prioritizing ride control over ride height, these springs deliver approximately 1.25 inches of rear lift as a functional side effect of their higher spring rate - not as the primary goal. The real benefit is in how the vehicle behaves: under load, with a tow bar, cargo, or overlanding gear installed, the R51 Pathfinder's rear end no longer sags or wallows. Instead, these heavy load springs keep the vehicle level, composed, and in full control both on pavement and off the beaten path.

Built from X5K micro-alloyed spring steel and double scragged before and after shot peening, the 2610 springs are engineered to resist the sagging and fatigue that commonly plague stock Pathfinder springs under regular heavy use. At a spring rate of 460 lbf/in - 130 lbs/in stiffer than the OEM spring - the 2610 is rated for approximately 200 lbs (90 kg) of additional sustained rear load capacity. Each spring is formed on computer-precision mandrels and finished with end configurations that match factory specifications exactly, ensuring a clean drop-in installation with no cutting, grinding, or modification needed. The durable black powder coat finish seals out moisture and stands up to the trail abuse typical of off-road use.

For best results, the OME 2610 rear springs should be paired with Old Man Emu Nitrocharger Sport or Nitro Plus rear shock absorbers, which are specifically valved to complement these springs for a fully integrated suspension system. A 4-wheel alignment is mandatory after installation, and North American R51 owners should be aware that alignment adjustments on US-spec vehicles may require slotted mounting holes or upgraded adjustable upper control arms. Shock Surplus, Z1 Offroad, ShockWarehouse, and Redline360 all confirm this spring as the correct heavy-load rear coil for the R51 Pathfinder platform.
