The Old Man Emu 2881 is a pair of heavy-duty front coil springs engineered for the 1996-2002 Toyota 4Runner (3rd Gen), 1998-2004 Toyota Tacoma V6, and the 1996-2002 Toyota Land Cruiser Prado 90 (LWB). Designed specifically for vehicles carrying additional accessory weight -- winches, steel bumpers, skid plates, light bars, brush guards -- these 500 lbs/in springs deliver 0-1.75" of front lift (up to 2.5" on the 3rd Gen 4Runner) while resisting the sag that plagues stock springs under heavy front-end loads. The 500 lbs/in rate accommodates an additional 100-200 lbs of constant weight without losing ride height or front-end geometry.

Construction features Old Man Emu's signature X5K micro-alloyed spring steel formed on precision mandrels, then double-scragged and shot-peened to eliminate the sagging and stress fatigue that compromise lesser springs over time. A black powder coat finish provides long-term corrosion resistance for trail, overland, and harsh-climate use. While ride height increases are attained, OME places primary emphasis on ride control improvements -- best results are achieved when these springs are paired with matching OME rear springs (such as the 2906) and a set of corresponding OME shock absorbers to deliver the fully integrated 4WD suspension system OME was designed around.
