Fitment Notes

  • Designed for use with Ridetech ShockWave air springs or HQ Series coil-overs only - not compatible with CoolRide systems (use part #11051499 for CoolRide applications)
  • Must be used with 1959-1964 stock spindles with disc brakes - not compatible with 1958 spindles or any aftermarket drop spindles; installing with a drop spindle will cause fitment, geometry, alignment, and ride quality issues
  • Disc brake brackets must be mounted to the outside face of the spindle
  • Shock mounts, air spring mounts, and sway bar mounts are integrated into the arm design - no additional brackets required
  • Sold as a pair (left and right)

Features

  • Precision-formed tubular steel construction delivers significantly greater strength and torsional rigidity than factory stamped-steel lower arms
  • Ball joint angles are repositioned to prevent binding at lowered ride heights and re-center camber travel for proper alignment without excessive shims
  • Double shear lower shock mount adds strength at the highest-stress point on the arm
  • Arm perimeter is contoured to maximize wheel clearance and turning radius at the new lowered position
  • Injection-molded Delrin bushings, Teflon-impregnated, eliminate deflection and stiction without requiring lubrication
  • Ball joints, bushings, and cross shafts are pre-installed - arms arrive fully assembled and ready to bolt in
  • Developed on an actual running 1958-1964 B-Body vehicle in Jasper, Indiana for verified real-world fitment and performance
  • Satin black powder coat finish for long-term corrosion resistance
  • Made in the USA

Product Description

The Ridetech 11052899 Front Lower StrongArms are tubular steel control arms engineered for the 1958-1964 Chevrolet B-Body platform - covering the Impala, Bel Air, Biscayne, Brookwood, and associated wagon/El Camino variants - and designed specifically for use with Ridetech ShockWave air springs or HQ Series coil-over shocks. These arms arrive fully assembled with pre-installed Moog-sourced ball joints, Delrin bushings, and cross shafts, so installation is a direct bolt-in without any additional fabrication or assembly.

The tubular design provides far greater rigidity than the factory stamped lower arms, while the repositioned ball joint angles eliminate the binding and poor camber behavior that plagues stock arms when the car is lowered. Integrated shock, air spring, and sway bar mounts mean no additional brackets are needed, and the arm perimeter is specifically shaped to maximize wheel clearance and turning radius at the new ride height. These arms require stock 1959-1964 spindles with disc brakes mounted to the outside face - drop spindles of any kind are not compatible. Made in Jasper, Indiana and validated on an actual running vehicle.
