The Yukon YT P17 is a Pinion Adapter Kit engineered specifically to extend the capability of the Yukon YT P22 Heavy Duty Carrier Bearing Puller to include XL pinion bearing removal on heavy-duty differential applications. While the YT P22 handles carrier bearing removal across a wide range of domestic differentials, there are applications - particularly heavy-duty 1-ton platforms such as the Dana 70HD, Dana 80, Ford 10.25", Ford 10.5", and GM/Chrysler 11.5" AAM - where pinion bearings require additional adapter reach and thread sizing to be properly engaged and extracted. The YT P17 provides exactly that capability.

The kit includes three precision-machined components: an XL adjuster ring, an XL adapter body with 2-1/4" internal and 2-3/4" external threading, and a 70mm long extension plug (45mm diameter). Together, these components mount onto the YT P22 puller and allow the technician to safely remove deeply seated pinion bearings without improvised adapters or the need for a hydraulic press. The adapter body threads provide a secure, concentric connection to the YT P22 base tool, ensuring the extraction force is applied squarely across the bearing for clean removal every time.
