Found in Jeep CJ, YJ, TJ, XJ, Grand Cherokee, and full-size Wagoneer applications, as well as classic Ford Broncos, F-series trucks, Dodge W-series pickups, and International Scout IIs, the Dana 44 rear is a trusted platform for both trail-use Jeeps and vintage 4x4 builds. This kit consolidates every required rebuild component into a single part number, using Timken bearings and high-quality small parts throughout.

The kit includes a comprehensive shim set for pinion depth and carrier preload, gear marking compound and brush for contact pattern verification, ring gear bolts, pinion nut, thread locker, and a differential cover gasket. Carrier breaks at 3.73 / 3.92 - if changing gear ratios across the carrier break, a new carrier will be required in addition to this kit. Pinion nut socket size is 1-1/8 inch.
