Fitment Notes

Carrier for Ford 7.5" differential housings ONLY -- will not fit 8.8" axles.
Requires 28-spline axle shafts; will not fit 26- or 31-spline axles.
Some 1990s-2010 vehicles were built with 8.8" rears -- confirm axle before ordering.
Ring & pinion setup (backlash, preload) must be reset when installing this carrier.
Works with all gear ratios for the Ford 7.5" axle.

Product Description

The Yukon YDGF7.5-28 Dura Grip is a clutch-style limited-slip differential engineered to replace the factory open carrier in Ford 7.5" rear axles that use 28-spline axle shafts. This covers a wide span of Ford light-duty and passenger platforms -- notably four generations of Mustang V6 (and early V8 Fox cars), Ranger and Bronco II trucks, and other Fox-platform cars that retained the 7.5" axle.

Built around a nodular iron case and 4320 chromoly internals, this unit delivers a noticeable traction increase for street, autocross, or mild drag use, while remaining rebuildable for long-term service. Because Ford produced both 7.5" and 8.8" axles in overlapping years, installers must confirm the axle is a 7.5" with 28-spline shafts before fitting this carrier.
