Fitment Notes

• Right-hand (R/H) directional rotor - must be mounted on the correct side; use companion rotor P/N 160-8399 for the left-hand (L/H) side
• For use with Wilwood calipers and brake systems only - not compatible with OEM stock calipers
• Not intended for street use on public roads; designed for competition and heavy-duty performance applications
• A black electro-coat finish version is available as P/N 160-8398-GTB for applications requiring additional corrosion protection

The Wilwood 160-8398 is a GT 72 Curved Vane Spec-37 directional brake rotor engineered for the most demanding competition and high-performance applications. Cast from Wilwood's proprietary Spec-37 iron alloy - a material derived from the technology behind their military-grade extreme-duty rotor program - this rotor is built to withstand sustained extreme temperatures while resisting distortion, cracking, and wear better than conventional iron castings. The 72-vane curved vane design maximizes internal airflow and cooling capacity, making it well suited for road racing, rally, heavy-duty off-road, and high-performance street builds that see repeated aggressive braking.

Every 160-8398 is precision machined to less than 0.001 in. flatness, parallelism, and runout, and individually spin-balanced to ensure smooth, vibration-free performance at all speeds. The asymmetrical GT Series face slot pattern reduces harmonic resonance and promotes even thermal distribution and pad wear across the rotor face. This rotor is a right-hand directional unit - pair it with the matching 160-8399 left-hand rotor for a complete front or rear axle set.
