Product Description

The Wilwood 140-11978-DR is a front big brake kit built around the Forged Narrow Superlite 6R six-piston caliper, engineered application-specific for the 2006-2015 Honda Civic Si. It dramatically increases brake capacity over the factory front setup while remaining fully compatible with the OE master cylinder output and ABS function, making it equally suited to aggressive street driving and track use.

The forged six-piston calipers use staggered 1.38 and 1.12-inch stainless pistons for even pad loading and are finished in red powder coat. They clamp 12.88-inch SRP drilled and slotted Spec-37 iron rotors, dynamically balanced and mounted to lightweight aluminum flared-bell hats that are dual-drilled in 5 x 4.50 and 5 x 4.75-inch bolt circles. High-friction BP-10 compound pads complete the package for strong, fade-resistant stopping power.

This kit bolts to the factory Si disc spindle for a true application-specific fit and pairs directly with the 140-11979 series rear kit for a balanced front-to-rear upgrade with matched caliper styling. A front brake line kit (220-12016) is required to complete the installation and is sold separately. A minimum 17-inch wheel is required; verify clearance against the wheel clearance diagram before purchase.
