Product Description

The Wilwood 620-15487 is the Electronic Parking Brake (EPB) Control Unit (ECU) for dual rear caliper applications. It serves as the brain of Wilwood's EPB system, controlling the engagement and release of left and right EPB rear brake calipers through a momentary rotary switch -- clockwise to engage, counter-clockwise to release. The ECU operates on 12V DC with variable amperage output and is compatible with Wilwood EPB calipers 120-15700, 120-15701, and 120-15702.

The ECU features a built-in two-digit diagnostic trouble code system -- if a fault is detected, the LED indicator on the switch flashes a code identifying the issue by location (left vs. right caliper) and type (engagement failure, release failure, voltage fault, or internal ECU fault). Codes are not stored and reset when the ignition is cycled. The controller mounts inside the vehicle, typically under the dash, away from alternator and ignition system components. The switch requires a 0.875" panel cutout and can be wired to trigger an existing dash parking brake indicator light via an optional solid-state relay. The 40A fuse in the BATTERY (+) circuit must remain in place -- do not bypass. Wiring harness 610-15588 and EPB switch are sold separately. For single-caliper applications, see Wilwood 620-16177.
